The Problem

Our class was challenged to create an illustration of three different foods using digital tools. The three foods had to fit within a theme and work together in the same art style.

The Solution

I chose to illustrate three foods that could be in a delicious breakfast. Using a variety of textured brushes, I chose to go for a painterly style with my foods. I used a variety of colors, exaggerating the objects and using non-natural colors to make them seem larger than life. I made use of digital layers in order to paint above and underneath different parts of the illustration. I combined the three illustrations on an egg-patterned background that faded from blue to green, making the reds and oranges of the foods pop off of the page.
