The Problem

The goal of this project was to create an informative flyer for the Houston Zoo which would interest kids in learning more about the animals who live there. To do so, I researched the types of designs that kids enjoyed, including bright colors, high contrast, rounded edges, and simple shapes.

The Solution

I illustrated my Harbor Seal swimming across the entire page to create movement. I used two rounded fonts to engage young readers and created type hierarchy to draw their eyes across the page. I built a simple rounded icon set to match and used the type to frame the seal. I built a dynamic composition that young readers would be interested in.
